No wonder most of these things have been crushed.
Obviously 'E23 owners' and 'action' are not easy
bedfellows. Stop talking, and start 'doing'.

That single e-mail has generated over 20 posts. And the owner still hasn't responded to my request for a contact number......

its all too common horsey
you see a potentially nice car on fleabay, not much info in the ad, poor pics, you send the seller a request for more info and then you wait, and wait, and wait, but reply don't come.
c'est la vie.
a lot of lazy people out there. how many filthy cars have you seen in ebay pics? too lazy to drive to local car wash? ebay pics taken at dusk, or midnight! how do these sellers ever attract bids?

Here's an action plan.
1. Hire a car trailer (£40)
2. Pick this thing up for free.
3. Strip all the useful bits off it - and there will be
loads. Three of you will get loads off in a day.
panels, cylinder head (getting rare now), rad, struts,
wheels and tyres, ECU. Forget restoring it, it's worth
more in bits.
4.) Weigh it in as scrap and get £40 back. All those
E23 bits for next to nothing. Just do it!
A shiny pound coin says you'll do nothing about it
and let it get crushed complete.

NEWS UPDATE
The owner, Graham Ross, has now given me his mobile number, writing as follows:
"GRAHAM ROSS writes:
> Hi Ivan, thanks for your reply, my mob no. is 07986 > ........., though I can't take calls after 7pm as I work > a very early shift (3am start). Cheers, Graham"
Those genuinely interested, please send me a PM for the number in full, and note the permitted time to call. The only exception to this is Andy, who I'll be updating by text.......
Now let's see if you'll commit yourselves

OmegaRob,
are you still into breaking smelly old E23s?
if you buy this one I'd like to buy the front legs plus other sundry bits.
I would take the whole car but my neighbours have erected a gibbet outside my house, to string me up by if I ever break another hulk.
I want a house in the country with no ****ing neighbours.

Ivan, Andy G's on his charity bike ride in France this weekend.
Even E23s can't drag him away from the bikes.

Just as I thought. The crusher awaits methinks.
No doubt you'll be banging on about every rusty E23
scrapper to drag itself onto Ebay after this one.........!

The Problem is I have just enough space for the one I've got, other wise I would jump at the chance, plus the fact I can't do anething for the 2 week's. Have no cash to go and get it and no space to keep bits. . Trailer is no problem mind.
Philip Could you not break it in the garage and move the 32 and 28 out side for a little bit. I am gutted that I can't take it. I have just terned down a early S-2a Land Rover great body and maks and number plate, It''s been way ed in, life is so depressing,
Horsetan Could you not home it for a little bit
