ooh, I love 'em in white.

look how clean the engine bay is.

looks a well kept example.

slow & thirsty in comparison with a 3.5 but for all that, they're not a bad drive. a comfy cruiser for sure.

Now THAT'S not a bad looking car. Well worth £50 I'd
say! The seller has been clever with the "Paypal
account required" to root out the cretins. 728i isn't
that bad. No nasty metrics, no switchable auto to go
wrong. So, anyone here going to buy it???

AG, why not buy it and swap all the bits from your
rotten Alpina across? It's be a lot cheaper and you'd
have abetter car at the end of it.

I think his Dad would have been smarter putting the
money into property though. £20'000 in 1985 equals
about £150'000 plus today. Imagine your old man
leaving you a white 728i in his will! You'd be looking
for a stout beam and a length of rope.

I wonder what the others got? A chocolate kettle
factory perhaps?

Someone's gotta have a bit of that. Haven't they?
If you've got it, a lorry brought it.

Nah. There will be about 3 weeks of discussion by
which time it will have been made into a fridge or
three.

Why is it that there are endless ebay links to old
E23's but nobody EVER does anything about them?

Spokey, best of luck with the new venture. If the bidding stays at that, you'll have got a bargain.

I haven't got the nous to look after a car like that -- I fear it would cost me a lot of money, like my 6er did.
Ciao,

Time, money, and space (which is already filled with old E23s awaiting attention anyway )

Certainly is. A gallon of unleaded and a match is
what's required.

That's just wicked Andy.

Just been watching a crap film on Channel 5, 'Atomic Train'.

They just bulldozed an e23 off the road with a firetruck.

If you've got it, a lorry brought it.

Where is Hiabboy anyway? Probably counting his
money after a successful day 'cleaning the streets'.

Watch the chase scene in 'Ronin' and a silver
sharknose E23 pops into view a few times. And who
saw the episode of Taggart where a complete
Henna red one was dropped into the crusher
(whole) and cubed?

There was an episode of Miami Vice where the bad guy was chauffered arround in a white E23.

Needless to say Crocket kills him & shoots out the NSR window. Holigan!

I watched a film last night with George Clooney and
Nicole Kidman .
There was a good chase scene when Clooney and
Kidman were in a W140 (93 onwards) S Class Benz.
being chased by three black E28's. One by one the
BMW's were eliminated with the Merc T boning one
so hard it went over the top and flattened the roof.
Despite the '520' badge on the boot of one (no 'i') you
could hear the cranking of an M10 as one tried to get
out of the way of the Merc before if got totalled.

Good film as well.
