True, and the beach is a bit crappy there now too (not that I was thinking of heading down there in the car!). The car park at the top of the bank (next to the hotel) has some cracking views though. Better still though, if you head on an go to Kettleness or Goldthorpe there are some superb views of the coast. |

Sounds good Chris, can't remember where I parked last time, I know I had to walk down the hill.
Would have mentioned Runswick Bay, except it's a bit cliquie in respect of the Yacht club - you either fit in or you don't if you know what I mean. |

Staithes is a good one, and very much my old stomping ground. Parking is easy....you just turn off for Cowbar (opposite Boulby Mine) and take the cliff road to a small car park that is little known. You can then head down the Cowbar side of the bank to the bridge across to Staithes. It's a 5 minute walk and the views from the Cowbar side of the cliffs (looking up towards Boulby Twins - which are the highest non-sheer drop cliffs in England) are superb. |

I'm always up for a Whitby run. Wharefdale area is pretty nice as well - Grassington and Linton-in-Craven. Would say Robin Hoods Bay and Stears (sorry Staithes) but there aint much room to park cars - only at the top at RHB and Stears is quite small.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Terry, wouldn't mind doing a couple of car shows next year, I only managed Gaydon in 05, be nice to do some more local. Isle of Man... Like your thinking, be up for some of that. Kielder, with our Scottish friends again? On that note, how about having a run up to Moffat to see our Scottish friends at the classic show? Mark & I went this year, and not only was it a great show, but the run back was probably the best we had all year! Croft. YES!!! I think regular runs are a good thing, but I know that some people like a sedate drive in the country, while others prefer a more spirited run, and I think both groups should be catered for. Even if we all go on a run up to Kielder (for example) at a steady pace, but on the return trip, we split into 'fast & slow' groups? I think the more varied things we do, then there will be something for everyone! |

As a broad range of events I think they sound very good. I'll definately support the Dilston and Alnwick events if the dates fit in with what I'm doing at the time. The IOM event is a good idea but not something I'd do, nor is the track day now I own a straight line barge that doesn't really like fast corners too much! Drive & Dine is probably out for me if it is on a weekday evening, as they're the days I keep for family/quality time at home. I'd add that I think a regular monthly meeting in the form of a mini-run is something we could consider and support. I'd certainly give it my support on a Sunday, and still think I could do it if it were a Saturday. I'd combine this with the official club monthly meeting - say a 2-3 hour meeting once a month that eradicates the problem of evening meetings and perhaps more people can get to it and be prepared to travel on a weekend. If not, then I still think a monthly mini-meet could be done. I've arranged the same for another car club and it looks like it's going down well. I also think a few more pre-arranged runs need to be added in. Advance notice allows more people to attend them. Say.... Whitby-Helmsley Kielder Lake District Holy Island/Bamburgh/Seahouses
