Loss of power

   I have a 528 i SE Auto which runs fine when it's cool but as soon as it warms up, the throttle response is very sluggish and the kick down doesn't work till you push the accelerator all the way to the floor.  Strangley enough, if I use the cruise buttons to accelerate, all seems much better.  This is the same in D or in sport mode. Any thoughts?
