Dunc,

Can you send me the pic of me and my Z3M side on...?Email is: jbecket@franklintempleton.co.uk

Pity we don't have a photo of when we span 180 at the hay bales hairpin! I think we were giggling too much anyway..

Best to all fellow Crail thrashers..

Alright Guys,

You've no idea how peed off I was to pass you all driving through Crail the wrong way! I was looking forward to that day for a long time as Dunc will tell you and not amused at missing it at all! :-( Anyway, never did go out on the track as I'm sure you'll know it was wound down by the time I got up there. I did take a trip along to Hawes hoping to catch up with most of you there though.

As I read through the various post i can see that you all had a really good time, excellent stuff.

Well, I will see a few of you at the Karting in the very near future and I look forward to going to the Scottish Motor Show with Gary and Duncan and whoever else fancies it.

See ya later.

I think Brian was like me in that we both took a sedate approach on the bends but opened up on that back straight. I was in second coming off the last bend before that straight.

But by taking a very wide line (As Dunc will confirm) on the back straight I was hitting 7000 rpm in third before snatching fourth well before the tyres before bend one.

Redline in third in the Z3M is between 95-105mph adjusting for margin of error. I managed to stay on the gas in fourth for a few seconds before blipping for the tyres.

I would assume the Z3M was either second or third fastest down the straight after then CSL and perhaps Brian's M5.

A great day..!

James / Duncan

Thanks for the great days entertainment. Definitley the best fun with your trousers on.

As for the ocean view at max. speed - I couldn't take the time to look in the mirror just then.

See you at Knockhill.

Brian

We were discussing what speeds people got to on that straight at last nights monthly meet.

Glad you made it up and enjoyed your day/s - does this mean you'll be a regular next year?

I had a great day at the track - after a 5 hour drive and an overnight stop to get there. Next time, please pick a day which is not the start of half term in England, and the M6 is not closed overnight for bridge works.

Crail deserves lots of support to get it established. How often can you get a great ocean view when going along the track at 90?

Thanks to everyone who organised it.

Did Le Mans last year and pitched a tent. Not far from the circuit so was noisy at night.
Going next year but looking to stay in a B&B. Coming back last year planned to stop @ my sisters(North London) but drove all they way home. Trip was worth it and great to see so many smart motors.

Dunc will hopefully be bring my new bucket to Crail. Gotta sell the 944, been a great car.

Would those who are attending Crail be interested in touring to Le Mans next year? For discussion on the 25th Oct..

How many of you have attended the driving days at the Nordershlafe?

Dunc

Maybe popping over. Not sure if i'm bringing the car, depends on the weather. Will jump in with Gary or bring the bucket.

It would be good to see knockhill full of M cars.

Excellent - spectators always welcome

Next year we hope to be sorting out a visit to Knockhill as well as returning to Crail. Fingers crossed we can get some of our Irish troops across and some members from more southerly climes too.
