BBS I say, M5 rims are for M5s. If you do get M5 rims, get originals as the replicas do not have that big lip.

Kin, it was your car on the BBS wheels that made me look at them.

They would be my first choice.

The BBS LMs are tasty alright but unless you find a set second hand they cost about €3000 without tyres.

Even second hand sets are going for €2500 but they come with semi used tyres. I sold my set for €2600.

I would love to get another set but it is just too much at the moment.

Ouch... 3 grand. cant see me getting that past her self.

The LM's only come in 19" as far as I can see. I dont want to go that big. So may be a CH 17 or 18..

Good idea. Of course. They would only take up space. They are some scrapes on every one though.

No you can get LMs in 18" but because of the way it is made I think 18" looks weird. You have to remeber the E39 needs a substantial rim as some can look good on E46 cars and crap on E39s.

Have you thought about Alpinas? They look sweet.

Here are a few types of rims to get you drooling.

Keep the one's you currently have, there's nothing wrong with them IMO. If you do change them don't go for M5 because it will look like a to**er's car then. As somebody else said, M5 wheels are for M5's only.

I think the ACS type that are on Fey's car look great on the 5 Series. Are they
Type 4's??? Or the ones on my dads 5. Look great but very easy to kerb.
Not a great pic but you can see them top left. They're 18".
