Well I have been a busy wee bee this weekend and the body is finally painted.

Friday wee prepped for painting and masked it off

And then the priming began. Two coats of wet and wet black primer. That was from 4 o'clock on Friday afternoon until 00:30hrs on Saturday morning.

Saturday Stevie the painter scotched the primer and at 19:00hrs the painting began.

4 coats of base coat, which was about 2 litres of paint and then 4 coats of clear/laquer which was about 2.5 litres. Finally finished at 23:30hrs last night. Even i had a go

Second base coat

third base coat.

4th base coat

And then fianlly the clear.

Second clear

Third

And at last the 4th and final clear coat

That's not an Air Freshener, it's Garlic, so he can keep the "Bride of Satan" out of the car

Is your middle name is 'Lucifer' Gary?
It's coming along nicely for 2009!

Yeah...give it a damn good clean for him, look at all that dust on the bodywork.

I've been following this one from the sidelines.  T'is very interesting.

I'll volunteer for any re-building work.  Although I fancy a shot at engine and transmission rebuilding.  Hmmm oily bits......
