Moving up the rankings nicely, only the AAAAARDVARK to overtake for the lead now

Simon, you'd best take your foot off the brake

Just like Alonso yesterday, Allegedly brake-testing Hamilton.
Although Pat Symonds has denied this reporting the telemetry readings showed this didn't happen.

Strange...

14.

Points awarded for component: (The highest finishing component from each real race team will score the points.)

Each component will be given a finishing position even if they do not finish the race. For example, if an F1 driver crashes on lap 1 and he is the first to retire from the race, he will be given 20th position. If 2 or more drivers fail on the same lap, they will be given the same position, i.e. a crash on the first lap between 2 cars, would net both of them 19th place. Positions are given in order of first to last.

  • Finishes in the points:

    Position Points
    1  10
    2  8
    3  6
    4  5
    5  4
    6  3
    7  2
    8  1

  • Qualifies, but does not start a race for any reason: -22 pts

  • Grid position minus Race position
    (i.e. Starts 12th, finishes 6th, 12 - 6 = 6pts, Starts 6th finishes 12th, 6 - 12 = -6pts

  • Double points will be scored on the players Joker Race. (i.e. 28pts scored x 2 = 56pts, -2pts scored x 2 = -4pts)

Men lie...... Women lie......... telemetry doesn't.

Alonso did move into Hamilton's path slightly however, which is why he rode up his rear wheel and pointed skywards, bit like that Vodafone advert they showed so much last year, but believe under racing rules he's allowed to move once.

If he hadn't done the rookie start he would not have been behind Alonso.........

A small glitch, normal service will be resumed soon, as soon as McLaren pull their flipping finger out!

Bring on the next race!

We shall see, truth be told Sakhir was a track where Ferrari had carried out alot of winter testing, so no suprises that they won convincingly. The tables wil be turned in Barcelona, where Mclaren have carried out alot of testing, so lets see what happens..........

What like I was last week?

Enjoy it while you can, it could be short lived, changes seem to be fast and big!

Session 2 is on now.... Live itv1-f1.com.

EDIT: Having just watched the above looks like Mclaren have work to do, Heiki did to laps and ground to a halt on circuit, and Lewis had fastest first sectors but then haemoraged time to finish in 11th spot.

      it don't mean nuffin -

"Given their familiarity with the Catalunya circuit, the top teams spent most of the afternoon running with race fuel and did not simulate qualifying runs....the timing charts had an unfamiliar look... (and) the two BMWs, who rarely show their hand on Fridays."
