I thought it was time to post some updates showing progress over the last few months...
EXTERIOR UPDATES: I always wanted to retrofit the official BMW roll hoops and when a complete kit came up with all trim pieces - I couldn't turn it down: I then invested in a BMW hardtop and hardtop fitting kit to get me through the winter months! (this has now been removed and in storage - hopefully I've not jumped the gun a bit! LOL!): This weekend I also painted and installed the ///M side gills that I've had sat here for about 8 months+!! LOL! : I've also got ///M mirrors sitting here which I need to paint and install when I get a chance and get more paint!! as I ran out and the Halfords paint I bought was a terrible match!! INTERIOR UPDATES: I received and installed my Storm Motorwerks weighted brushed stainless V1 short shift knob, Storm Motorwerks handbrake cover and button and Storm Motorwerks lighter blank: I'm also in the process of getting custom beige leather gaiters made for the gearknob and handbrake. Today I received my re-padded and recovered MTech steering wheel which I've just installed: SPEC: (*) Padded (*) Black perforated leather sides (*) Black plain leather top and bottom (*) Beige stitching PICTURES: Some installed pics of the new wheel: OTHER UPDATES: Was sick of the garbage radio reception on the Mangowalk stubby aerial I had - so decided to invest in a BMW Sport Antenna - not cheap, but looks a lot better and is better at picking up stations!: I also decided to install an ITG Pro filter drop in panel filter: I then got round to amassing all of the parts required for my brake overhaul - in the end I decided to go for: BRAKE PADS = EBC Yellow Stuff (front and rear) BRAKE DISCS = Brembo HC vented front and Brembo HC OEM rear BRAKE HOSES = Goodridge stainless steel braided lines And I've also got all of the parts needed for a cooling system overhaul I have planned in (waterpump with metal impeller, thermostat, thermostat housing, gaskets etc) as well as all of the other parts required for a major service including all fluids, spark plugs etc and have also decided to fit an Earls Performance braided stainless steel clutch line.
