The first car looks like the one which belongs to an acquaintance of mine: Alan Rosenbaum. He fitted clear lenses to his.
Most of the clear lens sets find buyers in the United States, and maybe the odd one or two in Europe. I do not know of any UK RHD cars which carry them, other than my notorious example!

Nice car but I'm not sure about the wheels.

Those are two different US-spec cars you're looking at! The last one is a bit questionable as far as the wheels are concerned, I do agree!

NEWS UPDATE: a new batch of clear indicator lenses has been produced by Mats Kinnby, and these can now be ordered from him via his Website (see earlier postings).

Just looking at those picks of the US spec cars. Are the bumpers different from Euro spec models?

Up until the 1988 model year, US-spec cars were saddled with Federal 5mph bumpers front and rear, which jutted out considerably further than those on the Euro-spec cars. They were sometimes nicknamed "Park Benches", as you could sit quite comfortably on them...

I wondered why the bumpers looked so big. Bit of a shame really, for the Americans anyway, because in my opinion it spoils the look of the whole car.

It took until 1988 for the US-spec cars to share the same "Highline" bumpers as the ones over here...

Not seen clear lenses on a red car, must admit. They do look well on white, black and dark blue cars, though. Will have to trawl the Net at some stage to see if I can find you a view or two...
