Somebody spent some time cleaning under the engine bay - seriously look very good...

Thanks Jimbo, it was like that when I bought her.   All the FBMWSH Beamers I have seen have an engine bay like that.  Do they steam clean them for you at service time?  She just had an Insp II before I bought her, would they have cleaned it then?  There is no mention of a steam clean on any service invoice that I have.

All I've done is wipe down the cylinder head cover and other plastic bits 'n' bobs and shh, don't tell the Mrs, I used her Dyson to suck out the dust that gathered on the suspension turrets and in the small trays on the inner wings behind the indicators before I took the photos.

Andrew

I got the surround for the gaitor and the hazard switch on ebay.de.

You do have to remove the instrument panel and dismantle it to fit the rings/logo but it's fairly easy.

www.bmwmovies.net - (my site, which is free!) just sign up and upload your pics. Then copy the URL* of the pic into your signature.

* to get the URL, right click on a picture and choose properties. You will see the address of the pic - treble click it to select the whole address and then press Ctrl & C together on your keyboard. Go to your profile page in the forum, go to the signature box and type [IMG$]address_to_your_pic.gif[/IMG$] (without the $ symbols - I put these in here so it would display the code rather than try to insert a pic!)

Yes it's the brushed aluminium (BMW call it Titanium Look) and leather gear knob, the gaitor surround and instrument rings are also solid aluminium
Have you noticed what else i have added to the instrument panel ?
