First time at Gaydon for me and it was a brilliant weekend.

Saturday night was a blast, total side spliting stuff at times.
I was all set for bed at half 11 but Stevie bent my arm up my back and dragged me kicking and screaming to the hotel bar () so 5 hrs sleep it was resulting in a rather delicate first few hrs of Sunday morning
A bacon roll and a tin of steelheed and all was well again.

Really enjoyed the show. Lots of stunning BMW's and it was great to see in the flesh a few cars i've only seen online, E36coupe's especially. If i was to pick a favourite though it would have to be the ACS CLS upstairs in the museum

Enjoyed the run up the road as well. It seems to be quicker when there's a few cars travelling at once.
Train racing is an new one on me. I reckon the train was travelling at about 65mph as we got our noses slightly in front at our maximum permissable speed of 70

After peeling off for a run up the A702 i was sat on my couch with a Kebab and a vodka for 10pm, was well pleased with that.

Thanks to
Issy, Jemma and Steph for feeding and watering everyone despite those pesky wasps.
John for appearing with a watering can on saturday when the sun was drying the car as quick as i could wash it.
Everyone who supplied the laughs and generally contributed to a top weekend.
Anyone i've forgotten.

Roll on 2010

That's me not long back (I stopped off in Geordieland to visit family)

I have to agree it has been one of the best Gaydons - the extended weekend is so much more civilised

Photos will get loaded and edited in the morning ..

From the moment I hooked up with Nero on Friday to "Asking " for a "Full" Plate of fish & chips for my tea on Saturday .......& being served a "Child" portion instead  ( Thanks to young Steven for helping me finish it !!!  ) & beyond  it was a brilliant weekend

As usual we all had a a good laugh on the Friday / Saturday ( much to the annoyance of the "Temp" manageress , who had "A face that could turn milk sour" who came to talk to us "Armed" with a rubber mallet ( Gee was i afraid  !!!

We also met a nice couple ,  Jeff & his wife Steph,  who had a lovely nice Six Series with loads of "A.C Schnitzer " goodies on it ( Thank you for putting up with the "Scottish crew" & hope we didn't ruin you holiday to much !!! & as said please feel free to come visit us at one of our meets if you are up this way )

We went shopping into a Supermarket in town on Saturday morning , as we did last year , i could see the look of Horror on the staffs face as we approached the door " OH CRUMBS !!!!!! HERE COMES THE FAMILY FROM SHAMELESS AGAIN " !!!

Stevie , Neil , Issy , Paul , Steph & Jemma & myself stayed on for another night after the show & ventured into Warwick for a fab dinner at a nice Italian  . Service was fab & food was good value  ( Had to leave some of my pasta though as "Young " Steven had gone home with his dad after the show & me only used to " Child portions " i was full !!!    ) & "Bonus" they sold "Peroni " beer on draft

Trip home was a good wee blast ( Thanks to Stevie / Paul / Steph / Issy / Jemma for putting up with "Captain Cautious" on the way home  )

Also as normal thanks to Issy , Jemma  & Steph for keeping the Troops fed & watered . Good to meet friends old & new & catch up with you all

Well what can i say that hasn't been said before this post!
Jemma and I had a great time right from the moment we left freezing cold Abingdon.
We got off to a good start but were soon stopped with the heavy traffic on the M6. It was a slow drive down though it was nothing to do with the fact we were behind Tommy We amused ourselves by having a disco with Tommy much to the amusement of the other drivers in the queue! To see the wee man bopping away to 'Hits of the 80's' was hilarious!
The weather couldn't have been kinder.
The hotel was very comfortable.
The food was good in the Porridge Pot .....better than last year though the manageress was a bit scary! However the Italian we had on Sunday night in Warwick was the best!
Friday night was very chilled with good chat and Saturday night ......well what can I say ..........brilliant laugh! (Jemma will continuing her therapy from last year and the bill be be sent to Gary!!! )
Sunday morning greeted us with a lovely sunrise and our cars all parked together in the hotel car park.......fantastic sight to see them all clean and ready to show!
The turn out was once again impressive from the Scottish region and we had many positive comments about all our cars. So thanks to everyone for making this such a great weekend. They show was very good and it was really nice to meet fellow members.
All I can say is roll on next year!

Incidentally ... are the dates fixed for the 2010 Gaydon yet ???

I need to get it in the diary before I book someone in for a wedding and be forced to charge them ridiculous amounts of money :D
